The La Harpe City Council is seeking a qualified candidate interested in serving the remaining term of the vacated seat, which expires in January 2027. You must live in the La Harpe city limits to be a qualified candidate.

If interested in this vacancy, please submit a letter of intent to the city clerk no later than June 3, 2024.

Applications are now being accepted by the City of La Harpe for the maintenance department.  Minimum age requirement-18, must have a Class A or B CDL and high school diploma or equivalent. Successful applicants will be required to take a drug screen.  Application and job description may be picked up at the La Harpe City Hall, 902 S. Washington, La Harpe, KS. and must be submitted by 5:00pm on May 20, 2024.

Staying on top of the city’s power grid by doing upgrades to poles! Dereck Ranes and Keanen Badders have been busy replacing worn out poles, even found time to help Savonburg replace a pole the wind got a hold of yesterday! The guys put in long days, so if you see them, please shout out a big thank you to them, it is well deserved!!
